4rd Grade Homework Responsibilities
Homework is given as a continuation of what has been taught in class. It is intended to extend concepts, help teach responsibility, and time management. Homework is assigned every night Monday-Thursday, sometimes Fridays. It is due the next day.
Homework should take your child approximately 40 minutes each night. When projects and/or tests are approaching, time spent on homework may slightly increase. If your child is consistently spending more than 45 minutes a night, please let me know.
Your child will be responsible for reading every night. I encourage students to read a variety of genres/texts. Have fun and enjoy!
When your child is absent, he/she will have one day to make up work for every day absent. If going on a vacation, please let me know well in advance so we can touch base regarding class work.
Lastly, you know your child best and I appreciate your insight(s) on your child’s learning abilities. If there is ever a question or concern regarding your child’s progress or anything that might arise during the year, please let me know as soon as possible. My door is always open!
